At the Thomas Edison National Historical Park, you’ll experience the laboratory and home of one of one of the world’s greatest innovators. Edison worked in this West Orange lab for more than forty years, making it the birthplace of world-changing inventions like the motion picture camera, sound recordings and the nickel-iron alkaline electric storage battery. Thanks to the preservation efforts of the National Parks service, you can experience the impeccably maintained property and view a massive collection of artifacts that belonged to Edison and the laboratories.
