Seton Hall University
In the heart of South Orange and boasting 11 schools and colleges with nearly 10,000 students is Seton Hall University. New Jersey is known for its list of prestigious schools and being home of the oldest diocesan universities in the country is another badge of honor. Built in 1856, SHU University remains “a home for the mind, the heart, and the spirit.”
Only 14 miles from Manhattan, the school offers a range of opportunities for students to intern, work and experience both New Jersey and New York. In addition to the 58-acre main campus are the nationally-ranked School of Law, located in Newark, New Jersey, and the recently opened Interprofessional Health Sciences (IHS) campus located in Clifton and Nutley, New Jersey.
On the campus of Seton Hall, medical school students attend the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. The school welcomed its first class of 60 students in May 2018. The school emphasizes an innovative curriculum, and the students will train at the 16 New Jersey hospitals within the Hackensack Meridian Health network.
